Who we are
Mildura Martial Arts runs karate, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, kickboxing and MMA classes at 22 Scott Crescent, Mildura VIC 3500. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and at the club, why, and what we do with it. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- When you book a free class: the name, date of birth, email, phone number and address of each person training, an emergency contact, any injuries or medical conditions a coach should know about, and the signed waiver. A parent or guardian fills this in for anyone under 18.
- When you join or log in: your account details, the classes you book and attend, your belt and grading progress, and your membership and payment history.
- When you pay: payments go through GoCardless. We see whether a payment was made and the last few digits of the account, never your full bank or card details.
- When you browse: this website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It records things like the pages viewed, the device and the town, not who you are.
- When you contact us: whatever you choose to tell us by email, phone or message.
Why we collect it
- To run your classes safely: knowing who is on the mats, how old they are and about any injuries is part of our duty of care, and our insurance requires a signed waiver for everyone who trains.
- To manage bookings, memberships, gradings and payments.
- To contact you about your classes, your account, timetable changes and club news. You can turn off reminders and news at any time from your account or by asking us.
- To improve the website.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We share it only with the services that run the club for us, and only what each one needs:
- GoCardless, for direct debits and payments.
- Google, for email and website analytics.
- Our website host, which stores this website and its database.
We may also share information when the law requires it, or in an emergency to protect someone’s health or safety.
How we keep it safe
Your details are kept in your account on this website, behind a login, and only the club’s coaches and administrators can see them. We keep them for as long as you train with us and for as long after that as the law or our insurance requires, then delete them.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@milduramartialarts.com.au or call 0438 508 443.
