Renshinkan Kids Karate / MMA

Renshinkan Karate/MMA is a hybrid traditional yet modern mixed martial art.  

Intermediate kids, the 5-9/10 year olds class has a greater focus on social skills and confidence building. Learning all the skills of kids karate and the self defence skills of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, your kids will be well on the way to being bully proofed in no time. 

Advanced Kids, the 9/10-16 year olds. Advanced in age not in skills, totally suitable for beginners.  This class has it all. We also adds a bit of resilience with some good old fashioned “rough and tumble” Guaranteed to toughen your kids up. Big emphasis on discipline, teamwork and personal development. 

Both classes emphasise the effective use of striking, wrestling and submission grappling techniques.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ)

Grappling based martial art, self-defence and combat sport system focusing primarily on takedowns and submission techniques. Grandmaster Carlson Gracie Senior – Professor Olavo Abreu lineage. Structured training curriculum and gradings. There are three classes, No-Gi, White to Blue/Skills (for beginners) and All levels/Advanced. All levels/Advanced and No-Gi are a lot more physical, and there is a lot more live training/sparring. Beginners welcome once your confidence grows and we’re happy you have grasped the basics.
Relevant training attire BJJ club uniform (GI) or shorts/rash guard (No-Gi) required. Ages 5-65.

White to Blue / Skills Class

Drills equals Skills. This class is for EVERYONE wanting to get better at BJJ. In this class you will learn all movements and drills required to earn your BJJ Black Belt. Big Pete (pictured) is, let’s just say, the plus side of 60, and really doesn’t want to get injured pursuing a sport he loves. There’s a lot of people like Pete that want to train, improve their mind body connection, physical abilities, personal skills, and not be competitive. Call it the “Skills” class, the “Beginners” class, the “Confidence Building” class, the “Getting Back Into It” class, up to you. It’s a very necessary class for starting your BJJ journey.

BJJ No Gi

In our No Gi BJJ class, we don't wear the traditional jacket, pants and belt, uniform (Gi) We wear shorts and rank relevant rash guard. In the No Gi form of BJJ, you can't grab your opponent's clothing to increase leverage. To be a complete Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu player, and progress through the ranks, you MUST train in both Gi and No Gi. Our No Gi class incorporates a lot more takedowns and lower limb submission style moves. Most of our students would say that the pace of training is a little faster and the moves a bit more technical.

Mixed Martial Arts

Learn the best of many traditional and modern martial arts, focusing on the effective use of striking, wrestling and submission grappling techniques. Suitable for beginners to professionals seeking to challenge themselves. Opportunities to fight amateur and professional on some of Australia’s leading MMA shows.

Our coaches at Mildura Martial Arts are dedicated, world class martial artists and athletes who have competed and coached athletes at some of the largest MMA & BJJ events throughout Australia and the world. We are committed to improving and changing lives, including yours.  Let us know what you want to achieve, fitness, better grappling/BJJ, striking, kickboxing, MMA?  Tell us what YOU want to achieve, and we’ll pair you with the best fit instructor for the job. Kickstart

For the early birds.  Improve your strength, co-ordination and confidence with our 45-minute morning Kickstart kickboxing class. Punching, kicking, kneeing pads and heavy bags as well as a multitude of body weight exercises will help release all of your stresses whilst pushing your body to the extreme. All classes vary in intensity, you don’t have to be a fighter to train like one!! Get in, get it done, get out. Exercise done for the day.

Open Mat

Where we put it all together. Best time to drill the weeks techniques, ask questions of the senior ranked guys and make it all gel. If you’ve missed a class during the week, practice what you missed with someone that was there.  For some a casual class, for others they are going full tilt!! Open to all to train how you like.
